Despite the Internet, libraries continue to see more traffic than ever.  Here in Maine and New Hampshire, our libraries have kept pace with technology.  Our libraries are also committed to keeping books on the shelves, not in the bonfires.  I’m very excited that we’ve been able to pull together a library show on both the local and state level.  We will be welcoming Maine State Librarian, Linda Lord;  New Hampshire State Librarian, Michael York; Robert Waldman, Director of the York Library; and last but certainly not least Mary Ann List, Director of the Portsmouth Library to our studio this  morning. 

Today will be my last show on Portsmouth At Large.  It’s been a great three years and I want to thank Liz Wright, Peg O’Neil, and Valerie Smith for all the great interviews we’ve conducted.  But I’m not leaving the station and you can still tune in alternate Thursdays from 6-8pm to hear me on Soul Vaccination!
