Angelynne Hinson leads a very active life as a vocal artist, performing opera, choral and song recitals, church music, and cabaret and revues throughout New England. Now in her 13th season with Cantata Singers of Boston, she has appeared as a soloist for mainstage and chamber series concerts and served as the Interim Director of Education for the organization. As half of the critically acclaimed vocal duo Sirens’ Song, she has appeared in numerous regional concert series in the US and Great Britian.
She began her vocal career in musical theatre as a high school student and made it her academic interest while an undergraduate at Harvard University. She is an avid scholar of the history of the American musical theater, writing and performing in revues featuring the music of George Gershwin, Cole Porter, and Stephen Sondheim. In addition she is founding member of Vocal Arts Exchange, a production company that focuses on combining vocal performance and education in a portable, entertaining format. She can be heard weekly on WSCA 106.1 FM hosting Morning Voices and Second Sunday.
