WSCA on The Front Porch on NH Public Radio - A Voice for the Community
Reported by Shay Zeller on Monday, July 25, 2005.
Most major media outlets these days are run by big companies, and that means lots of their programming comes from outside the communities they serve. But there are people out there working to keep radio and television as local as possible. We'll talk with two of them. Tim Stone is co-founder and general manager of WSCA, a low-power radio station serving Portsmouth, and Dave Rogers, co-producer and host of Granite Planet, a sketch comedy show that's carried on cable access stations around the state. http://www.nhpr.org/archive/2005/7/25/term/15000
National Public Radio's Morning Edition broadcasted a piece on the LPFM movement and FCC hearings on the topic. You can listen to it at the link below. You will also see several web site links worth visiting.
