Jazz Straightahead is a program of mainly mainstream jazz of the post- bop years right up to today, along with informed commentary about the music, its players and composers by host Terry MacDonald.

The music is mostly instrumental but includes more than a smattering of vocalists. Local jazz scholars and musicians are Terry’s frequent guests. And, once each month, Jazz Straightahead celebrates the birthday of one of the composers of our Great American Songbook, featuring performances of the songwriter’s music by jazz musicians and singers.
