Postponed from February 1st, the documentary film “Lost in Laconia, ” presented by One Sky and South Church will be shown this evening beginning at 6:30 PM at the South Church - 292 State Street - Portsmouth.

The program will run until 8:30 PM.   The suggested donation is $5.00

We must never forget!  For 80 years, persons with developmental disabilities languished in New Hampshire’s understaffed, overcrowded institution, the Laconia State School. Not long ago, they were set free after their families won a class action lawsuit against the state of NH.  January, 2011 marked the 20th anniversary of the closing of the “State School.”  Come view the film, followed by a panel discussion to include witnesses to the troubled history of Laconia.
