The National Homelessness Marathon did not ask for donations… it was an informational event. The goal was to inform and educate people of the breadth and causes of homelessness in America and to promote awareness of the extent of this crisis in America and here in NH and on the Seacoast.
Portsmouth Community Radio broadcast the event live from the Vaughan Mall. A number of guests appeared on the show…some live at the Mall, some live via telephone and some will be pre-recorded.
Rick Dirck, Jasper Salach, Rocky Smith, and Dee Hebert were WSCA’s on-air and engineering crew, and they made this year’s show a tremendous success. Thank you… Events like this demonstrate the true value of Community Radio!
Old Abram Brown, a band based in Boston, but with roots in Nashua, appeared on the Seacoast Scene on January 10th, 2011 and included their on-air performance as part of a promotional video entitled “Northeast Tour 2011.”
We want to take the opportunity to thank all those who supported Portsmouth Community Radio by attending our Annual Fundraiser Dance with the Jeannie Daniels Band on January 29th. We are sure everyone had a great time and really appreciate your participation.
We also want to give special thanks to the Jeannie Daniels Band for once again contributing their time and talent to helping support WSCA.
Finally, thank you to all the volunteers who helped out with this event. We couldn’t have done it without you!
