    Volunteers and Trustees,

Consider this a formal invitation to all those who are able and interested to attend a pre-pledge drive meeting to learn about what we’re doing, how we’re going to do it, when we will be doing it, and how we can all pitch in to make this a successful fundraising effort.

The meeting will take place at the station Tuesday, August 31st from 7 to 8:30 pm.

We look forward to seeing you there!

    Best,
    Ann Bliss

WSCA 106.1FM Announces Volunteer/DJ Training Sessions
    August 17th, 2010

Interested in getting involved as a radio show host or volunteer at WSCA 106.1FM, Portsmouth Community Radio? Do you have an interest in news, radio engineering, live music performance engineering, music show production, or public affairs programming? WSCA also has many opportunities for volunteers in off-air roles including marketing, fundraising, administration, IT, social media, and music acquisition, review and management.

The first step to getting involved with WSCA is to attend a Module 1 – Station Introduction training session. After completion of Module 1, you will be ready to volunteer for many of the off-air and behind-the-scenes roles at the station, and to continue on with further training modules as required if you are interested in being an on-air show host or helping out with other more technical roles at the station.

Module 1 training sessions have been scheduled for the following days:

    Saturday August 21st, 9:30-11:00AM
    Thursday September 9th, 6:30 – 8:00PM
    Monday October 4th, 6:00 – 7:30PM
    Thursday Nov 11th, 6:30 – 8:00PM

All training sessions will be held at WSCA’s 909 Islington Street studios. Trainees must pre-register for a training session by emailing training@wscafm.org, or calling 603-430-9722 and leaving a message. More information on the WSCA training program, and the requirements to be an on-air show host, is available at www.wscafm.org or by emailing training@wscafm.org. Training dates for additional training modules will be announced in the near future and posted on the web site.

Additional Training Info (also displayed at ‘About Us’ - ‘volunteering’).
