Anyone for croquet? Far from the game you played for fun as a child, competitive croquet is a whole different matter. You won’t want to miss Charlie Griffin’s interview with croquet champion JimMcLaughlin (photo) Friday after the 8 o’clock news as he explains how “ real” croquet is played. Jim is also a former statistician for the New York Jets and he will tell us what’s involved in “crunching the numbers “ in the NFL. After 7 1/2 years on the air at WSCA, Wake Up is changing its name, co-hosts and format. Kathy Somssich, who was one of the original Wake Up voices, will be joined by local activist Larry Drake in co-hosting their new show Seacoast Currents. The new show will focus on interviews with the movers and shakers of the Seacoast. Same time (Thursdays, 8 am to 10 am), same station, same progressive political perspective.

Saturday, May 4th, at the Kittery Community Center -120 Rogers Road in Kittery - Portsmouth Community Radio in collaboration with The Kittery Community Center’s Star Theatre, Cornerstone Tree Care, and The Greater Seacoast Permaculture Group proudly present Australia’s own Charlie Mgee - The Permaculture Troubadour in his “Turnip the Beet for Sustainability” Concert… Music… Dancing… Comedy…Fun!
The music begins at 7 pm with the fantastic talent of Andrea Szirbik and The Bearded [4] followed by Charlie Mgee (aka Charlie McGee, Charlie Jones). As an added part of the evening’s program… starting at 6 pm many local groups and organizations that support sustainability, clean energy, and permaculture will take part in an informative “Green Living Fair“!
